Frequently asked

Do I need a credit card to try urlcap?

No. The Free plan needs an email address only, and the in-browser try-it widget on the homepage works with no account at all — 5 requests per day to /api/v1/capture, /totp, /is_bot and /ip/*. After that the homepage prompts you to sign up for a free key.

What counts as a "request"?

Each successful or client-error API call (HTTP 2xx / 4xx) on /api/v1/* counts as one request unit against your monthly quota. Server errors (5xx) and quota-rejected calls (429 / 402) are not counted.

What happens when I hit my monthly quota?

The API returns HTTP 429 rate_limited until the start of the next calendar month. Upgrade to a higher tier at any time from Billing to keep going immediately.

What does "Unlimited" mean on the Business plan?

Unlimited monthly quota — there is no cap on total requests in a calendar month. There is still a fair-use per-second rate limit (a generous QPS ceiling, scaled to the plan) to protect the platform from abuse and noisy neighbours; it applies to every tier including unlimited. Sustained workloads that need higher QPS should reach out at info@urlcap.com.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from Billing or email info@urlcap.com. By default cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid access until then. See the Refund Policy for refund eligibility.

Where are prices billed?

Prices are in USD and billed monthly through Stripe. VAT or local taxes are added at checkout where required.

Do you offer custom / enterprise terms?

If Business doesn't fit (private deployment, dedicated SLAs, invoiced billing), write to info@urlcap.com and we'll talk.
