Refund Policy

1. Try before you pay
urlcap offers a free tier you can use indefinitely. We strongly encourage you to evaluate the Service on the free tier and verify that it works for your use case before upgrading to a paid plan.
2. Monthly subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Each new monthly fee covers the immediately following month of access. Because the Service is a digital, immediately-available subscription that you actively use, monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, except where this policy or applicable law expressly says otherwise.
3. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from /account/billing or by emailing info@urlcap.com. By default, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid access until that date and will not be charged again. We do not pro-rate the remaining days of an already-paid month.
4. Discretionary refunds
We will issue a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or accidental charges — e.g. you upgraded twice in error, or were charged after you cancelled and we failed to apply the cancellation.
- Material, sustained outage — if the Service was unavailable for our paying users for more than 24 consecutive hours during a billing period, we will, on request, credit or refund a pro-rated portion of that month's fee.
- Pricing error — if you were billed at an amount higher than the price published at the time of purchase, the difference will be refunded.
- Goodwill — if you have just upgraded and have not yet meaningfully used the new plan, we will normally refund the most recent charge on request within 7 days. This is offered as a courtesy, not a contractual right.
5. UK / EU consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer (not acting in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession) resident in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the subscription contract. By starting to use the Service during that period you expressly request that performance begins immediately and acknowledge that, once performance is complete, you lose that right.
To exercise the right within the 14-day window (and where you have not yet substantially used the Service), email info@urlcap.com from your account address with the subject "Withdrawal".
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us first at info@urlcap.com before opening a chargeback with your card issuer — we can usually resolve disputes faster directly. Accounts associated with chargebacks may be suspended pending review.
7. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued via Stripe to the original payment method, typically within 5-10 business days. We refund in the original currency of the charge.
